Toy Tool Sets
| |
Toy tool sets are a
fun way to develop a child’s life skills. They normally come as a theme based set, giving children
a chance to role-play adult jobs.
Many of the themes that incorporate tools feature
construction, craftsmanship, building, carpentry and a host of other do it yourself
jobs.
The toy tools are normally brightly colored to
keep children interested; they are also not built to scale and cannot be used in a real life
situation.
Hammers, drills, saws and pliers are just a few of
the tools that are manufactured.

They generally come with the parts they are intended to work on or come by
themselves with the option to buy different working sets that the tools are interchangeable with.
For added fun, they may sport moving parts that use small
batteries and motors to mimic the actual function of the real tool. However, they do not come with any parts that
can harm a child, or if they do, they are enclosed in a child-proof housing.
Plastic and wood are the main choice for manufacturing these toys;
they are supposed to be none toxic and not have any parts that are small enough to swallow.
Wooden toys are very hard and are cut and prepared in a way that
prevents splinters; they are also often coated with brightly colored nontoxic paint. Metal is generally frowned on
as it may be too heavy, toxic or sharp, and is not suitable for kids.
Clutter is normally associated with toy tool sets, and a good
way to get them organized is to get a toy chest, bin, tub or bag to keep all the tools together. Sometimes a lost
part means the whole set is useless, so care and storage is needed.
Toy tools, including toy
drills, need regular cleaning to protect children from germs. Make sure to check the details
to see if it is washable; the package will normally indicate the easiest way to clean the set. If not,
depending upon the materials, you can sometimes simply throw them in the dishwasher or just wipe down with
antibacterial hand soap and water.
Toy tools and sets will enhance a child’s natural motor activity
and enhance their intellectual capacity. However children only care about how much fun they can have and toy tools
provide hours of fun and enjoyment. They will also provide an outlet for their creativity and keep them away from
the TV and other electronic gadgets.
Toy tools are generally manufactured with small kids in mind
ranging from 3-9 years. Be sure to watch out for the toys’ safety features and do a little research before you buy
the very first set. Make sure the materials used are non toxic and ensure that there are no small parts that may be
a choking hazard. Choose the genre of tools that you think will be right for your child. Talk to them and see what
role they would like to play best and give them the gift that lasts.
